Obligatory ‘The Queen’s Gambit’ production design appreciation post

Much has been written about Netflix’s The Queen’s Gambit, by people who are waaaay better writing about pop culture than I am. Instead of writing about the storytelling or the chess, allow me to share some screencaps to pay tribute to the beauty of this show’s flawless production.

(… seriously, some actual Mad Men-level work here. You could pause it on any frame and never be in any doubt about which city you’re in. Flawless art direction, production design, and camera work.)
